Xabec (2002 – 2010)

On October 8, 2002 I was proposed by Eifor Foundation to start a social institution. After 6 months of study, we finally decided to start a vocational training center that would meet the following objectives: help unemployed people, peope in risk of social exclussion and immigrants to find a good job and settle in our country, and help companies improve the quality of workforce.

We began by giving Spanish classes for foreigners, and courses in job search techniques. A friend temporarily gave us a place on Alta Street, and we stayed there until we found the Concorde Cinema, in the Orriols neighborhood of Valencia.

The first official training we had was the Tower Crane Operator License. In order to teach the classes I had to get my license!

Little by little we were increasing the teaching specialties: plumber, AC installer, etc. Finally in 2006 we got authorization to start giving Initial Vocational Training.

In June 2008 the first promotion was licensed: it was a day of deep joy. One dream has become true…
