In 2000 I requested a leave of absence in my company Fomento de Centros de Enseñanza, to work in the Information Office of Opus Dei. Since 1975 I belonged to the work.
There is a great lack of knowledge (misinformation) about Opus Dei: there is still a false image of being a sect, or group of the ultra-right. Quite the opposite of what I have experienced, being very close, within Opus Dei. So it seemed like a good option to try to improve this image.
Opus Dei’s message is very simple: we can find God hidden in the ordinary, simple realities of life. And find the fullness of the Christian life without having to separate from the world in a monastery.

In 2006, when we started the regulated activities of Xabec, the Prelate of Opus Dei, Monsignor Javier Echevarría, visited us. It was a great joy for me to be able to show him the work we do there. But we will talk about this in the next chapter.
Recently, in July 2021, we have been visited by Father Mariano Fazio, who is the closest collaborator that the Prelate has to govern the institution. In the “Signature Book” he wrote this dedication:
What a joy to meet Xabec! It is a dream of Saint Josemaría come true. You are doing a wonderful job – human, professional, spiritual – in Valencia and from Valencia to the whole world.
I ask the Lord that Xabec continue to sow peace and joy in society, and that all who work and study here find the Lord in the midst of work and ordinary circumstances.
May God bless you, thank you! And count on my prayers, very united to the Father.
